I got this book to give me the basics of Hyperbolic Trig quickly with a minimum of extras because I needed the info to completely understand another book I was reading. This book met my needs perfectly. It develops the subject just enough to give you an understanding (as opposed to just a cookbook) and covers everything you need to actually use the knowledge of a part of another subject. It is clearly written and a nice, quick read.
But like beauty, adequate coverage is in the eye of the beholder. A person with a primary interest in the mathematics of the non-Eucleadian geometries and the trig they spawn would likely be disappointed in the brevity. For my needs at that moment, it was perfect.
